Thankfully, the Lowcountry has returned to more “normal” winter weather. In warmer conditions, fishing is easier (and more comfortable). Right now, the inshore bite is very good. Redfish and trout are hungry and in large schools. In a few hours of fishing, it is not unusual to catch and release 20 to 30 fish. However, I expect we will have a few more cold spells before spring gets here and fishing will once again become more challenging. When fishing is tough, finesse fishing techniques will catch fish when nothing else is working. If you are struggling to catch fish in cold weather conditions, perhaps I can help.
